This week we’ve been going craft crazy…here’s a little preview of one of the children’s projects…more to follow soon.
Reception were working with incredible concentration today applying a variety of number knowledge skills with lots of resources. Top work!
During the first half term Acorn have been very busy getting back into the swing of things and enjoying the new outdoor areas. Lots of fun, learning and laughter had by all.
Over the past couple of weeks more changes have been made at school. We have been very lucky to have more donations for our garden. We had top soil donated by Charlie Brook for our secret garden, and also compost delivered for our new vegetable beds. This meant that we have been very busy writing lots of thank you letters to all of our kind suppliers.
We’re keeping very busy at the moment with Art and lots of outdoor projects. Hard work and dirty hands!
Local companies are being very generous donating skilled time and resources which the children wanted to show their appreciation to…watch this space
Today we listened to transport sounds and then drew what we thought the sounds were. Some sounds were easier to recognise than others.
Even though we have had a very wet, rainy day at School, we still managed to get outside. We planted a tomato plant each and can not wait to see them grow tomatoes.
We then created our own self portrait using natural materials from outside. Can you guess who is who?
Look out for our rainbow in Oak class window. Together we made a massive rainbow using different materials.
The children have been busy at school creating incredible fish from school’s homegrown Willow as part of their seaside topic. We have also cracked on with some maths…finishing up with writing on the tables!?!?
Children have been busy learning how to use the glue guns safely while putting their creations together. They decided to add glitter to make them look even better which was a great idea! Excellent work Acorn class!
