Rights Respecting quiz!

Today in Acorn class Mr Butcher gave us a surprise quiz to remember as many of our rights as possible in 5 minutes. Our two teams worked really well and there were some fantastic discussions about what our rights are, which rights are similar or linked and what rights actually are! It was a very tight score and Mr Butcher had to go down to a half point just to pick a winner (“food” vs “clean food every day”)!

Great job Acorns!

World Book Day ðŸ“š

We have had a lovely day today sharing stories and writing book reviews while dressed up as our favourite fictional characters. We even had a parade so that everyone in school could see how fabulous we looked!

Mrs McManus met everybody and talked to them about their costume; she had a very tricky job picking a winner for the best costume, but eventually chose a brilliant Charlotte’s Web outfit as the Acorns winner!

Good job “Charlotte”!!

Magic moments at the museum

On Wednesday Acorn class went on a special trip to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter as part of our Time Travellers topic. We spent lots of time travelling through history along a huuuuge timeline through the museum and looked at artefacts from millions of years ago, right up until recent years.

We travelled through time and then with our remaining time we went around the world through the cultural and animal exhibitions.

We had a lovely day, especially as some of us had never been to a museum before!
