Art comes alive at Doddi!

In art we have been looking at the work of Wassily Kandinsky. We started by learning how to mix primary colours to make secondary colours, then we moved on to adding white and black to make tints and shades. After mastering how to make the colours we want, we looked at how different colours can represent different feelings and intentions. We found out how Wassily Kandinsky was one of the first artists to look at how shapes and colours can represent not just what we can see with our eyes, but how we feel inside too.

To finish off the topic we had a go at making our own Kandinsky circles with all of the shades, tints, primary and secondary colours that we’ve learnt about!
